In the second episode of "Droids," C-3PO, R2-D2 and their new friends attempt to destroy a superweapon.

Previously in Star Wars: Droids, R2-D2, C-3PO, and their new masters Jord and Thall discovered a secret base where the Fromm Gang was building a superweapon, the Trigon One. Jord got captured, but they rescued him with the help of Kea Moll.

Detour to Annoo

R2-D2 and C-3PO attempt to repair Jord and Thall's ship as it floats in space. C-3PO starts to float away from the ship while repairing the hyperdrive. While R2-D2 is able to save him, they lose the hyperdrive. Thankfully, Kea's mother lives on the nearby planet of Annoo, so they can stop there for repairs.

Annoo is also the base of operations for the Fromm Gang, however. Sise Fromm, leader of the gang, is disappointed in his son Tig's failure to capture the humans who discovered their secret base. When he learns that Jord and Thall are on Annoo, he sends gangsters to capture them at the spaceport. R2-D2 fakes insanity to create a distraction, allowing them to go free.

Discovering Kea's Secret

Kea instructs R2-D2 and C-3PO to help out around her mother's house. While cleaning up after sand sloths, they accidentally discover a Rebel control room. They attempt to inform Thall and find him being attacked by an assassin droid sent by the Fromms. He releases some kind of poisonous vapor next to Thall, but the others manage to chase him off.

Demma Moll, Kea's mother, explains that they are part of a resistance cell attempting to overthrow the Fromm gang. Kea was originally on Ingo to locate the Trigon One. Thall and Jord agree to help them formulate a plan.

Sneaking Into the Base

The next morning, Thall discovers that Kea and Jord have left without them. He quickly follows with the droids and rescues his friends when they get caught trying to sneak aboard Sise Fromm's ship. There is a quick change of plans: Thall and Kea hide in shipping containers, with C-3PO and R2-D2 pretending to monitor the cargo.

A meteor storm jostles the containers, causing R2-D2 and C-3PO to lose track of Thall and Kea's containers. When they reach the base, they pick what seems to be the correct container and try to bring it to the hangar bay when Vlix Oncard stops them. When a shipping droid accidentally crushes the container, C-3PO saves Vlix by pushing him out of the way. Vlix thanks them by giving them security clearance, R2-D2 finds the real containers, and they go on their way.

Destroying the Trigon One

C-3PO realizes that the object Kea gave him to hold is a thermal detonator. He panics. Some gangsters swipe the detonator and play catch with it, causing it to activate. They reach the hangar bay with only a few minutes to spare.

Tig and Sise Fromm watch as Thall, Kea, and the droids fight off the guards, blow a hole in the ceiling, and escape with the Trigon One. They send ships after it, but the Trigon One easily destroys them. Kea wants to keep it for the Resistance to use, but Thall thinks it's too dangerous and must be destroyed. Kea reluctantly agrees.
